Details Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting at a Level I Trauma hospital Trauma/Surgical unit caring for patients with traumatic injuries including MVCs, penetrating wounds, and falls, as well as cancer surgery and liver transplant patients Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital 14-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (Kentucky or Compact) Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (CCRN and TNCC preferred) Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the specialty Minimum 1 year of previous charge experience Level I Trauma experience required Trauma/Surgical ICU experience required PA line (Swan Ganz) monitoring experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and ventilator management Experience with cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias At least 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to surgical and trauma ICU patients including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring Must be willing to work 3 of 5 winter holidays Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted Returning staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler No license disciplinary actions or hits will be accepted for consideration RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration; requests made after an offer will not be approved First-time travelers are not considered due to travel experience requirements American Traveler Job ID P-740464.
