Business Analyst

Specific Qualifications Required: Exposure to, and understanding of Oracle Clinical (preferably 4.6) and related systems (RDC, TMS) is required. Analyze business processes by meeting with application users to define as-is processes and reviewing existing SOPs. Document business process using VISIO. Identify, evaluate, develop and/or redesign systems and procedures to meet user requirements. Create detailed written user requirements for developers. Provide consultation to customers on business process redesign. Assist in the development of system documentation and training materials as well as training processes. Responsibilities: Experience owning a defined portion of a project, and a demonstrated ability to manage issues and risks, and an understanding of appropriate and timely escalation. Demonstrated experience in delivering business, user and functional requirements, specifications and data flow design documents. Demonstrated experience in preparing User Acceptance Test Scripts and experience with the software development lifecycle. Experience working in a team environment with multiple business processes. Provide cross‑functional and business knowledge to develop business system and process alternatives. Experience working on global projects, specifically software implementations. Experience operating in a validated environment. Clear understanding of the technology and associated dependencies between systems including an understanding of data migration, quality and integration technologies. Demonstrated ability to work independently with very little supervision. Provide end‑user support for Oracle Clinical. Train others as appropriate on specific area of business or system expertise. Assist in development of training materials. Assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. Understand the components of running a fiscally successful project. Solid knowledge of the application development process. Strong communication skills (verbal/written/listening). Solid business knowledge. Sense of urgency with strong follow‑up skills. Must be detail‑oriented and able to work within a team setting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience in systems or business. 5+ years experience working a consultative capacity, preferably in an IT‑oriented/systems development environment. 5+ years experience working with clinical applications or processes. Background with R&D Development systems. 5+ years experience in applying information systems solutions to business problems. Experience in system testing, validation, problem resolution, and training. BA/BS, Life Sciences, Healthcare or Computer Science degree preferred.
