Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - ENT (IU Health West Hospital)

Job Description Full-Time, Day Shift Monday–Friday, 5 8‑hour shifts per week Shift typically 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., may be flexible No weekends, call, or holidays 70% inpatient, 30% outpatient Patient volume varies with consult role; office volume: 25 per week Group includes 18 physicians and 17 APPs; this position will work directly with 4+ physicians and 1+ APP Patient population: general otolaryngology and head and neck surgery patients Key Responsibilities Maintain a balance of inpatient consultations, inpatient rounding, and outpatient clinical settings Manage acute inpatient ENT consultations and rounding on floor units and the Emergency Department Independently treat general ENT concerns, manage post‑operative care, and handle urgent ER follow‑ups Perform procedures including flexible tracheoscopy, tracheostomy changes, complex wound care (debridement/wound packing, laryngectomy care), hematoma/seroma I&D, drain removal, suture/staple removal, cerumen removal, nasal endoscopy, and flexible laryngoscopy Qualifications Master’s degree required Must be certified ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA BE/BC Open to new graduates; experience in ENT/OHNS preferred Benefits IU Health offers a value-based compensation package that includes group insurance (health, dental, life, disability), 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, CME allowance/time off, relocation assistance, and malpractice insurance coverage.
