About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified CVOR RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29401!

• Circulate complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve procedures, ascending/descending aortic cases, and heart and lung transplants
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic/Biliary MIS (Da Vinci), Plastics, Endocrine, and Bariatric procedures
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and charting
• Comply with radiation safety protocols; radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June-November)

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time CVOR travelers considered only with 5+ years of overall relevant experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state compact RN license must be in hand at contract start
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approvals are based on departmental needs

• Experience with heart and lung transplant procedures
• Proficiency with Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical systems
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center or Magnet-designated facility
• Familiarity with EPIC charting systems

• Opportunity to work at a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with a high-acuity, diverse surgical caseload
• Expected schedule of 36 hours per week on a consistent weekend night shift pattern
