Electrical Assembler (Cambridge)

Electrical Assembler The Electrical Assembler reads and interprets mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions to complete precise mechanical and electrical assemblies. This role assembles and wires components, troubleshoots unusual assembly or wiring issues, and ensures that all work meets quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and detailed work instructions. Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of components and systems according to established work instructions and specifications. Assemble and route wiring and cables, ensuring proper connections and secure terminations. Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks. Troubleshoot unusual assembly and wiring problems, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions. Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and conformance to drawings and specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safe operations. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and electrical components. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and meet project timelines. Essential Skills 1+ year(s) of electrical experience. Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or drawings. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation accurately. Ability to lift 35+ lbs safely and repeatedly as required by the role. Work Setting This role is based in a production and assembly environment that involves working with electrical components. Various shifts and positions are available, including day, afternoon, and weekend schedules. Day shift typically runs Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., afternoon shift runs Monday to Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and weekend shift runs Friday to Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The work requires standing for extended periods, lifting 35+ lbs, and performing tasks that demand good visual acuity and manual dexterity. Employees follow safety procedures and work in a structured, process-driven environment focused on quality and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.84 - $27.00/hr. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Cambridge, ON.
