Plastic Extrusion Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Extrusion Operator 2nd Shift to join their team. As an Extrusion Operator 2nd Shift, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting operational excellence and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Extrusion Operator 2nd Shift

Location: Louisville, KY

Pay Range: $25

Shift: Evenings 3PM-11PM

What's the Job?

• Operate plastic extrusion equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals
• Adjust gauges to control extruder speed, temperature, pressure, and winder speeds for optimal product quality
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and company standards

What's Needed?

• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience as a machine operator, with knowledge of process equipment, tooling, and procedures
• Basic math, reading, computer, and analytical skills
• High awareness of safety protocols and the ability to analyze and resolve production issues
• Forklift experience is required
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, including overtime and weekend shifts if necessary
