Job Description
Title: RN - Critical Care

Schedule: 12hr Nights; 1900-0730; 3 shifts per week

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- KS RN or Compact RN License
- BLS, ACLS, & NIHF certifications
- 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs
- Must be comfortable without a vascular access team
- Experience in calling on own consults and conducting own codes
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires is preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care procedures.
- Ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards of care.

Compliance / Notes:
- Will start on Monday with a 2-day orientation followed by facility-specific training.
- Facility is nicotine-free.
- Client allows the cancellation of one shift per 2-week pay period at no cost to the client and no pay to the employee, with a minimum 2-hour notice.
