Job Title

Surgical Services Technician – Surgical Specialty

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technician support within a high-acuity surgical services setting
• Assist with obstetric (OB) cases, requiring demonstrated L&D tech experience
• Maintain compliance with facility floating policies, floating within scope of practice as needed
• Participate in orientation modules, including specialty-specific training recorded in Workday
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by the unit

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification required and must be in hand prior to start
• Virginia state registration required and must be in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
• OB/L&D technician experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• References required at time of submission
• Nursys verification required with submission
• Locals are not accepted for this unit — candidates must meet the facility's 50-mile travel restriction requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel assignment experience in a surgical or perioperative setting
• Familiarity with Workday for documentation and module tracking
