Medical Laboratory Technician

Medical Laboratory TechnicianBoulder Community Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician who will be able to perform routine and special diagnostic procedures. Copy of diploma, certificate, or academic transcript is required.Certification Requirement (must meet one of the following):MT/MLS/MLT certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT); orSectional certification depending on lab section (e.g., M(ASCP) for Microbiology, H(ASCP) for Hematology, etc.); orSpecialty certification depending on lab section (e.g., SC(ASCP) for Specialist in Chemistry, SBB(ASCP) for Specialist in Blood Bank, etc.); orCertification registry eligible and certified within one year of becoming eligible (must present confirmation page of scheduled test date at time of hire).Key Note: Candidates must satisfy both an education option and a certification option to meet the minimum qualifications for this position.Responsibilities:Run appropriate laboratory technical equipment.Use laboratory information systems.Instruct new employees and orient them through the department in which they are working.Use the hospital information system.Wash glassware.May be designated lab supervisor on weekends or holidays.Accurately changes lab procedures.About Boulder Community HealthBoulder Community Health (BCH) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Boulder, Colorado, serving the Boulder County community.
