Production Coordinator

An apparel manufacturer in New York, NY is hiring a Production Coordinator to manage the production lifecycle from factory communication through final delivery. This role serves as the central point of contact between overseas factories, internal design and technical teams, and retailer and licensor partners. It suits someone highly organized who can track many styles at once and keep timelines on schedule.

Schedule: Full time, onsite in New York, NY.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 Per Year

What You'll Do: You will manage communication with factories on all production matters and track the full lifecycle of every style in production. This includes relaying retailer requirements to factories for color, artwork, fabrics, pre-production samples, and testing, then following up on production and delivery status through daily emails and the PLM system.

A core part of the role is maintaining production tracking reports, including Time and Action calendars, Work in Process reports, and daily factory updates, to keep submits, approvals, and timelines on track. You will route lab dips, strike-offs, and sample submits to the design and technical departments, then pass their comments back to the factories. You will also manage items for approval with retailers and licensors, communicating and following up with their teams, and ensure all testing compliance requirements are met.

Required Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in apparel production
• Working knowledge of tech packs and garment construction
• Experience communicating directly with overseas factories
• Proficiency with PLM systems
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Familiarity with production tracking tools (Time and Action, Work in Process reporting)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating approvals with retailers and licensors
• Familiarity with testing and compliance requirements for apparel
• Background working across multiple product categories
• Knowledge of color approval processes (lab dips, strike-offs)
