Client Advocate - Public Sector (Security and Defense)

The Client Advocate (CA) is responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships, leading strategy development and execution, and delivering best-in-class client service. This role will specifically support Public Sector clients, with a focus on Security and Defense organizations, requiring a strong understanding of the unique risk, regulatory, and operational environments within this space.The CA owns the E365 Service Plan, engages relevant WTW resources, and leads pricing, profitability, and renewal strategies. They act as the primary relationship manager, coordinating internal teams to deliver tailored risk and insurance solutions that meet client needs.A successful Client Advocate develops a deep understanding of the client’s business, industry, and objectives, positioning themselves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to key decision-makers. They are ultimately accountable for client retention, profitability, and the delivery of all service outcomes across assigned accounts. This role also focuses on expanding existing relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and leading RFPs, presentations, and client pitches.As a senior member of the team, you will also:Serve as a mentor to colleaguesAct as a Subject Matter Expert for one or more lines of businessProvide leadership across account teamsThis role offers a hybrid working model with some in-office presence and travel based on client needs across the U.S.Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this role.The RoleRetain an existing book of business and strengthen client relationships as the primary point of contactIdentify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and support new client acquisitionLead the RFP process, including strategy, content development, and final deliverablesPartner with broking and sales teams to stay informed on market trends and opportunitiesDevelop a strong understanding of client industries, particularly within Public Sector (Security & Defense)Provide strategic risk and insurance advisory, partnering with WTW practice and industry specialistsLead the development and delivery of the E365 Service Plan and Client Stewardship reportsCoordinate and integrate WTW resources to deliver a seamless client experienceLead and mentor account team membersDrive profitability and retention across assigned accountsNegotiate and deliver fee and compensation agreementsPartner with broking teams to design and optimize client insurance programs using data and analyticsLead the development and delivery of client presentations, proposals, and service plansDrive the renewal process, including strategy development and executionEnsure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirementsPerform other duties as needed to deliver an exceptional client experienceThe RequirementsExperience:5+ years of commercial Property & Casualty experience in a client-facing roleExperience supporting Public Sector clients, including Security and Defense organizations, government contractors, and related entities preferred but not requiredStrong understanding of governmental and defense-related risk exposures and insurance programs preferred but not requiredTechnical Knowledge:Strong understanding of coverage structures, program design, and gap analysisAbility to interpret underwriting submissions, exposure data, loss runs, and analyticsFamiliarity with public sector procurement processes (RFPs, compliance, and bidding requirements)Experience with complex insurance programs, including multi-location risks and specialized exposuresAnalytical & Presentation Skills:Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform client strategyStrong presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders and boardsProfessional Skills:Strong relationship management and client advisory capabilitiesEffective negotiation and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage complex projects and competing prioritiesDemonstrated leadership and team collaborationLicensing & Credentials:Must maintain an active Property & Casualty broker licenseProfessional designations preferred (e.g., CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM, AINS)This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until a sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).CompensationThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $160,000 – $180,000 USD per year.
