Fleet Maintenance Manager

Position Summary Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager. The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of light and medium to large/heavy duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. Ideal candidates will reside in the Livermore, Fremont or Richmond, CA area. Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000/yr. based on experience plus additional annual bonus incentives Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm The benefits of belonging - what's in it for you? * Full benefits within 30 days * Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance * 401(k) Match program * Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time * Commitment to your safety through boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement * Career and learning development with an extensive training program through our Amerit University * Employee referral program, up to $1,000 bonus * ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus * Employee recognition platform that includes opportunities to redeem points for merchandise * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * 24/7 nurse triage line * Employee discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets * Employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion What the Fleet Manager role looks like: * Manage daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime * Oversee a high volume of repair orders and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency * Supervise shop operations and/or maintenance staff as applicable * Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documented * Manage parts and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control * Review repair estimates, invoices, and warranty claims for accuracy * Coordinate with clients, dealerships, and vendor service providers to ensure quality work * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies * Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to operation What our ideal candidate looks like: * Required Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of fleet management or shop management experience * Strong technical/mechanical background (hands-on experience preferred) * Proven history of managing high-volume repair orders * Demonstrated experience with inventory and parts management * Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills * Preferred Qualifications * Experience with fleet management software or CMMS systems * Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards Working Conditions: * Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. * Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. * Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants. * Ability to move and position heavy objects * Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles * Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
