Senior Manufacturing Engineer Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Minnetonka, MN. Join Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business unit to support a new product launch and ongoing production of high‑impact medical devices in atrial fibrillation therapy. Responsibilities Lead Operations Readiness for the launch of new EP products. Collaborate with Research & Development and Process Development to transfer designs, build operational knowledge, and create ramp plans. Work with Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering to develop new line introduction plans, including equipment ordering, qualification, and validation. Drive cross‑functional initiatives for process, product, and equipment improvement. Mentor and supervise other engineers and technicians. Conduct Process FMEAs, Process Validations, and improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing concepts. Coordinate design, procurement, build, and debugging of tooling, machinery, and test equipment. Partner with Product Development for Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Provide engineering support for day‑to‑day production needs. Maintain proactive communication with cross‑functional partners and provide front‑line engineering guidance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, or equivalent engineering field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with proven process development or manufacturing engineering background. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills. Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to motivate peers. Proven ability to lead and influence change creatively. Willingness to travel approximately 15%, including international trips.
