Treatment Provider

The Treatment Provider provides the following services for individuals with Addictive Disease: Behavioral Assessment; Service Plan Development; Community Support Services; Individual, Group, Family Counseling/Training, Discharge Planning, Brief Treatment and Brief Intervention Techniques.

Essential functions include conducting screening interviews, providing clinical consultation, working closely with clients, collecting and reviewing referral information, coordinating with the Program Coordinator, providing counseling, monitoring client access to treatment, ensuring legislation is followed, maintaining confidentiality, providing community education, accessing and collecting information, distributing relevant information, making visits and presentations, accessing and developing promotional materials, assisting individuals to identify their need for treatment programs, and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs.

The counselor will be familiar with other services and resources in the community, participate in all assigned meetings, staff development, and training, complete paperwork requirements, remain in compliance with internal and external policies, follow up on missed appointments, and operate a personal computer and general office equipment.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in social work, Counseling, or related field plus one year of clinical experience in an alcohol or other drugs (AOD) or mental health setting. Currently holding an LAPC, LMSW or LAMFT License and in process of obtaining LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Must be in active clinical supervision while in the process of obtaining clinical licensure if under provisional licensure. Must follow all state board rules and regulations for licensure. Preferred qualifications include LCSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Thinking for a Change (T4C) and other comparable evidence-based curriculum certifications, 3 years' experience conducting evidence-based groups and individual counseling sessions, and experience in accountably court/corrections environment.
