Day Shift Caregiver PCA or CNA

Caregiver Position

The Caregiver role with Always Best Care Loudoun is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene typically in a facility or home care setting. We are currently seeking care team member(s) that are available to work flexible day shift hours. Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Assists client(s) with medication reminder(s)
• Assist client(s) with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• May be responsible for client(s) transportation to appointments or errands
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene, such as toileting, bathing, and dressing
• Encourage client(s) to complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Perform light housekeeping tasks that client(s) cannot complete on their own, including but not limited to, laundry, meal preparation, dishes, and making the bed
• Maintain proper documentation about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents or changes in condition to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Maintain strong and respectful communication with the Always Best Care Loudoun team and client(s)

Caregiver Requirements:

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Must be respectful and compassionate with good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
