The Doorperson facilitate guest’s entry into the venue by verifying their reservations and allowing access to the venue. This position serves as a liaison between promotions, VIP services, and guests. Assess crowd control, prevent theft and discourage altercations in a high-volume nightclub atmosphere by notifying security as needed. Work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times. Keep informed of door/pricing changes that might affect venues and services. This is a non-tip receiving position. Doorperson is not allowed to accept any form of money from our guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Provide a friendly, personal demeanor with a willingness to interact Provide professional and friendly guest services Commits self to the below listed Company values, and acknowledges dedication to providing excellent guest service for our Guests and our internal team, at all times Ability to work safely and prevent personal injury Commitment to the safety of fellow co-workers and our guests, and the ability to demonstrate that commitment through daily actions Remain alert for any suspicious persons or activities React professionally and rationally in emergency and pressure situations Identify intoxicated, disorderly, or insubordinate guests and reports them to Security Communicate professionally with all management from Restaurant/Lounge Assist all Guests with entry to the venue Maintain professionalism at the workplace and with co-workers and patrons Attentive to all company related events and upcoming venues and changes Maintain a proper and professional appearance and attitude Maintain and promotes a friendly atmosphere for customers and co-workers Provide customers with information and directions Inform management of any complaints, comments, or incidents Perform all prior arrangements to be ready to start at scheduled in time and completes all necessary duties by end of shift Accurately assess group sizes at the doors, collect ID’s and form of payment, and hand out tickets accordingly Constantly pays attention to surroundings and to customers Assist and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Tao Group Hospitality in-venue doorperson training EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Min 1-year previous doorperson experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience required. Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge required.
