Miller Weldmaster is looking for a Field Service Technician. Miller Weldmaster needs a diversely talented candidate whose primary job is to service, troubleshoot, and install thermoplastic welding equipment. Applicants should be self-motivated team players with a positive attitude! Our Field Service Team travels around the world while installing and servicing machines in over 100 countries!

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair skills
• Timekeeping and prioritization skills
• Excellent customer service skills, we deliver best in class customer service and take pride in our work. This position requires professionalism, a first time final approach, and a desire to meet and exceed the required customer service expectations.
• Blueprint reading
• The ability to identify the root causes of service issues using your keen knowledge of the products and your comfort with electrical or mechanical abilities
• Detail orientation, and great verbal and written communication skills
• The discipline to update service records and complete service reports on time and ensure data integrity
• The desire and ability to promote and sell services and products, generating sales leads
• Basic comfort with laptop computers and Microsoft Office software
• A valid driver's license and a safe driving history

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds
• Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
• Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
• Continually work near moving mechanical parts

Additional requirements:

• Travel overnight 50% of the time to service customers domestically and worldwide
• Pass a pre-employment motor vehicle record check and criminal background check

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Field service: 2 years (Preferred)
• Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
