Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and major holidays required

Engage with a leading Cardiac Medical Stepdown Unit, caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses: cardiac issues, surgical, renal, respiratory complications, and more. Qualifications:

• Current RN license (or compact equivalent) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 6+ months in acute care setting preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required (study materials and EKG preparation support provided)
• Proficiency in lab draws and cardiac rhythm interpretation essential
• Experience with cardiac drips, titrations, BiPAP, insulin drips, and specialized monitoring equipment valued
• Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive assessment, planning, and management of patients on a 24-bed stepdown unit
• Administering medications and therapies per rigorous standards
• Acting as point of coordination for patient care, advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Rapidly responding to changing conditions and emergencies with sound clinical judgment
• Contribution to ongoing quality and safety improvements
