This Medical Center in Savannah operates a comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery service line with advanced surgical capabilities. The facility currently has 2 full-time APP vacancies, requiring locum coverage to maintain sustainable 24/7 operations with 1 OR-capable APP and PRN support. The hospital maintains modern equipment including EPIC EMR systems and provides specialized CVICU care with dedicated floor and OR nursing staff.

Savannah offers diverse outdoor activities including dolphin tours, riverboat cruises, and visits to wildlife centers and national refuges. Historic attractions feature squares, parks with fountains, and waterfront areas, while entertainment options range from theatre performances to ghost tours. Recreational facilities include adventure golf courses and beach parks, providing options for both active exploration and leisurely sightseeing throughout this coastal Georgia destination.

The physician associate will provide weekend cardiothoracic surgery coverage with 24-hour non-restrictive call responsibilities from Friday through Monday morning. The role requires comprehensive patient rounding on the CVICU, emergency department consultations, and managing all CT surgery-related cases with a 30-minute recall requirement. The clinician will handle both cardiovascular and thoracic cases, averaging 8 patients daily, while working collaboratively with 1 surgeon and 2 APPs using the EPIC EMR system. Vein harvesting certification and Georgia medical licensure are mandatory requirements for this position.
