Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Position Purpose The Registered Nurse (RN) – Heart Failure at Saint Francis Hospital’s Hoffman Heart & Vascular Institute provides specialized, evidence‑based nursing care to adult patients experiencing acute and chronic heart failure, as well as complex cardiac and medical conditions. Practicing within a nationally recognized Heart Failure Center of Excellence, the RN delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team in a highly specialized cardiac care environment. What you will do Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic heart failure across all disease stages Perform detailed cardiac and systemic assessments, including monitoring hemodynamics, fluid status, daily weights, symptoms, and telemetry Administer, manage, and evaluate cardiac and heart failure medications utilizing evidence‑based, nurse‑driven protocols Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition to prevent clinical deterioration Minimum Qualifications Education : Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. Licensure : Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut. Certification : BLS (AHA/ARC). Preferred Skills: Education: BSN preferred. Experience: Acute care, Medical‑Surgical, telemetry, or cardiac nursing preferred.
