Our diverse provider team includes Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Counselors, and Licensed Social Workers. Role Description The Nurse Practitioner at Professional Psychiatric Services will provide direct psychiatric care, including conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and coordinating care with psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and social workers. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in case consultations, and providing psychoeducation to clients and families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment options. This is a full-time, on-site position based in West Chester, OH, requiring consistent collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and adherence to clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in an appropriate specialty (e.g., Psychiatric-Mental Health), with authorization to practice and prescribe in Ohio. Demonstrated experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning in outpatient or similar mental health settings. Strong medication management skills, including knowledge of psychopharmacology, side effects, and evidence-based prescribing practices. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, and administrative staff. Ability to build therapeutic relationships, maintain professional boundaries, and work with diverse client populations and age groups. Solid clinical documentation skills, including proficiency with electronic health records and adherence to privacy and compliance standards. Capacity to manage a full‑time caseload on‑site, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately to crisis situations or urgent client needs. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care is highly beneficial.
