Engineering Support Associate

located in

Des Moines, IA.

Reporting to the

Engineering Support Supervisor,

the

Engineering Support Associate

willwork with Project Managers and Engineering to provide expertise in service to our customers and all of our various functional departments. They are to perform a wide variety of tasks required by our projects and support our fabrication department from start to finish.

What a typical day looks like: Perform quality control checks on wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and other engineer produced documents. Produces various deliverables for our production shop including adhesive labels, wire markers, nameplates, and cable tags using industrial label printers. Printing, reviewing, and organizing various sets of drawings and blueprints for use by our production shop. Utilizes CAD software such as AutoCAD to create and update technical drawings and plans. Run and maintain laser engraving machines to produce various placards and nameplates. Perform Document Control related tasks such as stamping and folding drawings, archiving data, and managing revisions. Performs record keeping duties such as scanning drawings and organizing files and folders on our network. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: High school diploma or equivalent. Post-high school education preferred. Proficient computer skills with experience with Windows-based computers, spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office software applications. Attention to detail and focus on quality. Ability to learn new skills and work in a team setting. Able to perform various office related tasks such as printing, scanning, and organizing paperwork. Beginner level knowledge of AutoCAD for basic 2D drafting tasks. Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions.
