Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Location: California (specific city not provided)

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care during night shifts. The RN will be responsible for various nursing functions in an acute care setting. Candidates should have strong assessment skills and the ability to manage complex patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and support during labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care.
• Perform assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Educate parents on discharge instructions and newborn care.
• Manage critical situations, including pain assessment and management and post-epidural care.
• Oversee newborn assessments, thermoregulation, and phototherapy.
• Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience as an RN, with recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current state RN license and certifications in BLS and NRP are required.
• Experience in postpartum care and newborn assessments.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.
