As a Security Officer - Access Control Coordinator in BOISE, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access processes, and provide exceptional customer service. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
