Social Media Manager

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Social Media Manager. This role involves leading the strategic development, creation, and management of social media content for the Chancellor and Provost, utilizing platform-specific strategies to enhance the visibility and thought leadership of senior university leaders while advancing institutional priorities. Highlights Lead strategic development and execution of social media content for the Chancellor and Provost. Collaborate with University Communications and Marketing and university offices to create compelling stories and timely engagement. Required knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Copywriting and editing experience tailored for branding purposes. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, journalism, or related field plus minimum two years of relevant professional experience. Preferred experience managing social media for senior executives or high-profile public figures and skills in photography, videography, and mobile content creation. Experience with social media analytics, audience development, and performance measurement. Salary range between $65,000 and $75,000 per year. Full-time permanent position within University Communications and Marketing department.
