Title Examiner (Remote)

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Remote Title Examiner role for a Respected National Title Agency.


Workway is partnering with a respected national title and settlement company, to identify an experienced Title Examiner who enjoys digging into complex title matters and solving challenging title issues.
Unlike traditional title insurance examination roles, this position focuses on preparing detailed title reports from comprehensive title searches. If you thrive on analyzing complicated chains of title, easements, restrictions, and ownership history across both residential and commercial properties, this is an outstanding opportunity to work with a highly respected team.

This position is 100% remote for qualified candidates.
The Title Examiner is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

• Review and examine full title searches for residential and commercial properties.
• Analyze complex chains of title to determine ownership history and identify potential issues.
• Review deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, plats, rights-of-way, and other recorded documents.
• Prepare detailed and accurate title reports based on examination findings.
• Identify title defects, breaks in chain, encumbrances, and other matters affecting title.
• Research county land records and public record databases to resolve title questions.
• Interpret legal descriptions and verify property information.
• Communicate findings clearly with internal team members as needed.

Required qualifications for the position include:

• Previous experience as a Title Examiner, Title Abstractor, or Title Research Specialist .
• Strong experience examining full title searches rather than simply reviewing title commitments.
• Ability to analyze complicated title chains involving multiple conveyances, easements, restrictions, and other recorded matters.
• Experience working with both residential and commercial properties.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret legal documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

• Experience performing online title searches using county record systems and online search platforms.
• Familiarity with public land records and electronic recording systems.
• Experience handling complex title research projects.

Pay Rate : $30.00 - 32.00 per hour.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
