The assignment is onsite and runs from mid-August through early November, providing an engaging opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and students across mixed grade levels.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Must hold a valid Illinois Physical Therapist License (required)
• Demonstrated pediatric experience within educational settings
• Previous school-based physical therapy experience essential
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver educationally related physical therapy services to students with a range of abilities
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions targeting gross motor skill acquisition or compensation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure student success and support Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies
• Engage with students, families, and staff to promote generalization of physical therapy strategies across environments
