Highlights Pay: $41.00/hour Location: Canton, OH Facility: Cleveland Clinic Schedule: Per Diem, Variable What You'll Do Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred. Experience 2+ years of recent related nursing experience for external applicants. Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience may be considered with Chief Nursing Officer approval. Licenses & Certifications Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN). Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for Critical Care areas within the first year of employment. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for RNs in Children's Hospital within one year of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RNs. Chemo/Bio course completion required within 2 years if employed in units where chemotherapy is administered. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required for Dedicated Trauma Centers within 24 months. Vascular Access Registered Nurse (VARN) program attendance required with certification within a year for PICC areas.
