Overview NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic PRN Injury Prevention Specialist / Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team supporting a fast-paced airport hub at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. This dynamic role integrates ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and enhance overall employee well-being. Certified Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist PRN Location: 2602 Worldgateway Place Detroit MI 48242 Type of Employment: PRN/PerDiem Schedule: Hours vary as needed between all shifts (Monday - Friday, 6am-10pm) (Saturday-Sunday 9am-7pm) Compensation: $35.00 - $38.00, hourly based on years of experience PRN Perks: Continuing Education : Free in-person and online CEUs to keep learning Career Growth : Access to a nationwide, professional support network 401(k) : Company matching 401(k) after 1,000 hours in a calendar year Diversity : Work with a variety of team sizes, patient populations, and specialties Responsibilities What will you be doing in this role? Perform ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits Conduct movement assessments and develop preventative exercise programs Engage with new hire employees on education, ergonomics, and injury prevention Deliver return-to-work program for employees returning from injury Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification Applicable state license where required Minimum one year experience as an Athletic Trainer CPR certification Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Athletic Training Industrial Health experience Additional Data About Select Medical : Select Medical is one of the largest providers of critical illness recovery hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient rehabilitation centers in the United States.
