Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Houston, Texas, known for its high patient satisfaction and focus on innovative cardiology practices. As a Nurse Practitioner at CACC, you will be immersed in a multidisciplinary environment where teamwork and communication are prioritized. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in managing patient care within an outpatient setting.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, and develop effective care plans.
• Manage and monitor chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, incorporating evidence-based practices into treatment regimens.
• Deliver specialized outpatient services in Electrophysiology, addressing abnormal ECG findings and arrhythmia management.
• Administer and interpret stress tests to evaluate cardiac function and response under stress.
• Assess and manage patients with acute cardiovascular issues, including Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and strokes.
• Prescribe medications, provide education on lifestyle modifications, and guide patients and families in managing their health.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within the group when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves adult patients presenting with a variety of cardiovascular concerns. You will be charged with managing both chronic and acute cardiac conditions, contributing to positive patient outcomes through proactive care and effective treatment strategies. The focus will be on maintaining continuity of care and enhancing the patient experience through personalized engagement and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Certification from a recognized professional nursing organization.
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on Cardiology or a related specialty.
• Proficiency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

We welcome applications from both experienced Nurse Practitioners and new graduates with internships or clinical rotations focused on cardiology. Prior experience in an outpatient cardiology environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The Nurse Practitioner will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to an attractive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
