Certified phlebotomist preferred
AHA BLS
Minimum Experience:1-2 years. Inpatient experience required
Will also be required to train to perform EKG's. The PM and overnight phlebotomists perform EKG's on inpatients. Will provide all of the training for performing EKG's correctly. They do not interpret the EKG, only perform the test and hand the report to the RN or provider.
Charting Experience Required: Sunquest preferred, Epic preferred
Required Skillset: proficient in venipuncture and capillary draws: blood draw technique in general; excellent customer service skills. Comfortable with HIS/LIS computer systems, attention to detail. Arterial blood collections experience beneficial.
