Position Overview:

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an Adult Behavioral Health Case Manager (1359) to deliver trauma-informed care, skills training, and recovery planning to adults (18+) across Clarendon, Amarillo, and the surrounding service area. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
• Conduct state-approved mental health assessments and co-create person-centered recovery plans.
• Teach evidence-based skills and curriculum to help individuals improve daily functioning using a person-centered approach.
• Refer and link individuals to community resources, and provide psychosocial rehabilitation, skills training, substance abuse treatment, housing and/or employment skills training.
• Organize and provide culturally competent care activities and collaboration among all participants involved with the individual’s care.
• Provide direct, community-based care (approx. 50%+ of working time spent face-to-face or via phone in home/community settings).
• Assist and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary adult behavioral health team to promote quality mental health services, skill development and community stability to clients throughout the Texas Panhandle.
• Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.

Qualifications & Credentials:

Education & Credentials (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related Human Services field (required for QMHP credentialing).
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• At least 18 years of age.

Experience Level Tiering:

• Case Manager I ($40,809.60/yr): Entry Level – No experience required.
• Case Manager II ($43,305.60/yr): Minimum 1 year of behavioral health case management experience.
• Case Manager III ($46,009.60/yr): Minimum 2 years of behavioral health case management experience.
• Graduate-level coursework in a related field may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
