Onsite Interpreter - Worcester, MA

Job Summary Onsite Contract Interpreter in Worcester, Massachusetts metro area. Responsibilities Provide consecutive in person, first-person interpretation. Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients. Follow all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards. Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees. Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients, such as medical, legal, social services, etc. Requirements 1+ years of interpreting experience. Submission of updated resume in English at time of application. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Intermediate level computer skills. Access to reliable transportation. Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP and seasonal influenza and Covid. Successful completion of a drug test and background check and security screen. A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
