A humanitarian nonprofit organization that provides fresh meals to senior citizens is searching for a Nonprofit Senior Accountant to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience and knowledge of granting accounting and nonprofit funding sources to oversee the organization's financial management and operational functions. Pay Range: $68,000 - $75,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

• Assist with HR tasks, including bi-weekly payroll processing using ADP
• Oversee fresh meal preparation in the kitchen and manage the volunteer delivery process
• Participate in the construction of a second building on the property
• Manage daily accounting activities, including tracking client payments and socialization services
• Oversee grants, ensuring compliance with budgetary restrictions
• Handle varied daily tasks, adapting to new challenges and learning the existing account setups
• Rearrange files, learn reporting for meetings, and manage restricted accounts
• Prepare budgets and handle audits at the end of the fiscal year
• Assist with vendor management and coordinate some IT tasks
• Perform hands-on, full-cycle accounting tasks

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
• Experience with grant accounting and knowledge of nonprofit funding sources, including private grants and donations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (both online and desktop versions) and ADP for payroll processing
• Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination due to interactions with senior populations
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with significant value placed on practical experience
• Familiarity with ADP and payroll processing experience is beneficial
