Position Summary

The General Labor Worker in the Logistics/Warehouse Department is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations by loading, unloading, moving, storing, and preparing pistachio products and materials. This position assists in maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards.

Essential Functions

• Assist in loading and unloading pistachio products and materials from trucks, containers, and storage areas.
• Move and transport products throughout the warehouse using manual or powered equipment.
• Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations.
• Prepare shipments by labeling, packaging, and staging products according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and work areas.
• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, debris removal, and sanitizing workspaces.
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Follow GMPs, safety procedures, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report damaged products, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, or general labor experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and workplace safety.

Work Environment

• Warehouse and logistics environment.
• Exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Indoor and outdoor work may be required.
• Exposure to pistachios and other food allergens.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and sanitation products may be required.
• PPE may be required.
