Sr Marketing Manager - Corporate Office (Carlsbad)

Are you a data-driven marketing leader with a passion for the restaurant industry? We're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager who blends creativity with analytics to drive sales, guest engagement, and brand growth.

• Leverages data to identify emerging trends and technologies in the restaurant industry, and develops strategic marketing initiatives in response.
• Oversees all aspects of internal and external marketing efforts from advertising and brand awareness to digital and print publications.
• Drives loyalty program to build traffic-driving marketing initiatives and guest retention.
• Serve as a Strategic partner with the Food and Beverage department.
• Works parallel with Operations to drive campaigns, frontline communication, and program execution.
• Develops, manages, and oversees the creative process and works with agency partners to develop engaging content.
• Manage, mentor, and grow the Marketing team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cohesive marketing plans to increase brand awareness and sales.
• Oversees all aspects of internal and external marketing efforts including advertising, promotions, public relations, digital media (social, website, email, PPC), loyalty program/mobile app, local store marketing, CRM, menus, uniforms and collateral.
• Drives loyalty program to build traffic-driving marketing initiatives and guest retention.
• Oversees all print and project coordination, distribution and communication of all menus and collateral to restaurants.
• Partner with the Food & Beverage team to assist with new product/menu rollout strategies.
• Partner with the Operations team to execute internal programs and lead the implementation of in-store marketing.
• Oversees the creative process and works with agency partners to develop engaging content.
• Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.
• Develop and manage department and company marketing budgets.
• Lead, coach and develop the marketing team.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in marketing and 5+ years in a leadership position.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or similar field preferred.
• Solid experience using data to refine marketing strategies.
• Demonstrated experience using logic and analytics to evaluate programs, strengths and weaknesses, and solutions.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Strong knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
• Proficient in marketing analytics tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms.
• Strong computer and Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and budget tracking.
• Ability to motivate, develop and manage in-house marketing team.
• Manage third party agencies to deliver results.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels of the business.
• Multi unit, Full- Service Restaurant, CPG (consumer packaged goods), or hospitality Marketing experience required
• Hybrid work schedule: in office (in Carlsbad), in-store visits, and remote work.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reports to the President of Islands.

This position is based in Carlsbad, CA. No relocation assistance is provided.

Must be currently located within a commutable distance to Carlsbad, or have plans to relocate to the area

Must have at least 2 years of experience working in the restaurant, hospitality, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
