Fire Alarm InstallerInstall it right. Test it right. Protect what matters.Chesapeake Fire Protection is looking for a motivated Fire Alarm Installer to join our growing team! You'll play a hands-on role installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.What You'll DoInstall fire alarm devices, control panels, wiring, and conduit according to project drawings and specifications.Test and inspect newly installed systems to ensure proper operation.Troubleshoot and correct installation issues under supervision.Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), local codes, and project requirements.Maintain organized work areas and handle tools, equipment, and materials safely.Document installations, system changes, and testing results.Coordinate with other trades and project personnel.Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and participate in safety meetings.Support service and retrofit projects as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.What You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent.1–3 years of fire alarm installation or low-voltage electrical experience preferred.NICET or other fire alarm certifications preferred, but not required.Willingness to obtain required state or local licenses and certifications.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.The JobAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights or in confined spaces.Field-based work at commercial, industrial, and residential job sites.Exposure to varying weather, noise, and active construction environments.Overtime and travel between job sites required.Why This Role MattersEvery device you install plays a role in keeping people and property safe.
