Surgical Technologist: First Scrub & Asepsis Expert

Job Responsibilities: The Surgical Technologist 1 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts. Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills. Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional. Demonstrates the ability to perform the role of the first scrub on all basic surgical cases. Demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis. Demonstrates the application of the principles of aseptic technique Identifies variances from expected outcomes and responds to changes in patient needs. May perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Surgical Technologists 1: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Recent Hospital experience and/or previous practice experience Registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Surgical Technologist at time of hire Basic Life Support form AHA required upon start. Surgical Technologists 2: High School diploma or equivalent 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience Registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Surgical Technologist at time of hire Basic Life Support form AHA required upon start. Surgical Technologists 3: High School diploma or equivalent 1 Year Surg Tech experience or equivalent Registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Surgical Technologist at time of hire Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) via NCCT required upon start. #J-18808-Ljbffr Inova Health System
