Structural Designer

Structural Designer - Buildings (Boston, MA) STV is seeking a Structural Designer to join our Buildings team in our Boston, MA office. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing, collaborative group delivering complex structural design solutions across a diverse portfolio of building projects. Our Boston Buildings practice supports a strong backlog of work across multiple sectors and continues to grow. This role offers exposure to multidisciplinary teams and provides a solid foundation for developing structural engineering expertise within the built environment. Key Responsibilities Support the design and analysis of building structures, including steel, concrete, and other structural systems Assist in preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction support activities Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver coordinated design solutions Support projects through various phases, from design through construction Qualifications 0-3 years of experience in structural analysis and design, preferably within buildings or vertical construction Experience with software such as ETABS, RISA 3D, SAP2000, Revit preferred Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certification preferred or in progress Ability to work both in an office environment and on project sites as needed Strong written and verbal communication skills What We're Looking For Self-motivated, career-driven individual with interest in building design Strong attention to detail and ability to organize technical information Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in team environments Compensation Range $82,862.07 - $94,699.51 Benefits Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) Disability insurance Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment 401(k) Plan Retirement Counseling Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) Paid Holidays (9 days) Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) Continuing Education Program Professional Licensure and Society Memberships STV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
