Minimum Requirements

Bachelor‘s, Master‘s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
Active Texas state Physical Therapy license required to begin assignment.
Experience in inpatient rehabilitation hospital settings is required.
Competency in comprehensive evaluation, development of treatment plans, and functional goal writing.
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, perform timely equipment trialing and patient/family education.
Experience with documentation including daily notes, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in accordance with hospital and payer guidelines.
Demonstrated safe patient handling practices and awareness of workplace safety protocols.
BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required prior to start.
Must maintain professional licensure and meet state-mandated continuing education requirements.
Preferred: experience supervising or precepting students and participating in performance improvement initiatives.

Facility Type: Hospital (inpatient rehabilitation focus)
Shift: Day, 5x8 schedule
Duration: 13 week assignment
Caseload: Inpatient rehabilitation patients with interdisciplinary team collaboration.
Clinical duties include comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, equipment trialing, patient and family education, and documentation.
May be asked to provide coverage and adapt caseload as departmental needs require.
