Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer - Zeeland, MIDISHER is partnering with a global leader in high-quality door and insulated glass solutions, to find a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Zeeland, MI. In this role, you'll own SolidWorks CAD data and drawings while supporting new product development from concept to production. You'll know your coworkers, see your products come to life, and have real ownership over your work.What You'll Get To Do:Own SolidWorks CAD data and drawings for door and glass productsSupport new product development from initial concept through production launchCollaborate with product engineers, manufacturing teams, and program managersApply engineering fundamentals to optimize designs for manufacturingCreate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)Identify cost reduction and product improvement opportunitiesWhat Will Make You Successful:BS in Mechanical Engineering, product design, or related field preferred10-15 years in design with variety of productsStrong SolidWorks proficiencyExperience in new product development (NPD)-not just simulation or tool & die workKnowledge of manufacturing processes: extrusions, injection molding, stampingStrong grasp of physics and engineering fundamentalsAbility to communicate across teams and translate technical conceptsMust have a positive attitude - bring energy and enthusiasm to the team every dayMust be a team player - willing to collaborate, support colleagues, and share knowledge
