AccountantThis is a remote position and is open to candidates residing within the United States. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Denver/Northern Colorado or Southern Wyoming area.Part-Time (20 hours per week) – 3-month position with the possibility of continuation1FORCE is currently looking for a driven individual with high energy and enthusiasm to join our team and assume the role of Accountant. The accountant is vital to the ongoing efficiency of the company that will be responsible for the full cycle accounting functions. This is a newly formed role that will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is critical to the overall business operations of the organization.Accountant’s typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:Manage Accounts Payable transactionsTrack monthly accrualsFull cycle Accounts Receivable, including credit, billing, cash apps and collectionsCash Flow reporting and analysisPrepare payroll including data for quarterly bonuses and payoutProcess state filings as requiredEnsure insurance filings are up to dateMaintain SBA accountReview operational performance and analyze variances against budget and prior months’ performanceUpdate, produce and analyze monthly reportsCollaborate closely with the team to manage the information flow from all systems to ensure accurate report productionOther duties/backup tasks as assignedBS in Accounting; advanced degree preferredStrong financial acumen with the ability to analyze budgetary information and assess organizational capacity3+ years of financial management experienceExperience with QuickBooks OnlineProficiency in Microsoft software applications, especially ExcelPlease provide compensation expectationsWe are a small but nationally operating government contracting firm that supports federal background investigations.
