Registered Nurse - PICU

PICU Travel Nurse Opportunity• DECEMBER 7 START ONLY • 13 weeks or longer, but only 13 weeks will be at the winter rate • Variable D/N or straight nights • Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays (including Eves): Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's • NO HOLIDAY TIME OFF WILL BE APPROVED, need to be flexible to work whatever 2 holidays the unit needsTypes of Cases Preferred: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post op cardiac surgical care, neurosurgery. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice.Years of experience REQ: 2 First-timer travelers accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: Yes, must be available to work weekends with full flexibility to be scheduled when needed • With variable shift, weekend reqs depend what shift they're on the schedule for: • For days - 4 weekend shifts Saturday/Sunday • For nights - 5 shifts Friday/Saturday • one full weekend off per 4 week scheduleNational Certs REQ: PALS and BLS Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes Locals accepted: No RTO Restrictions: 7 days RTO max, need to still get in 3 shifts that week Guaranteed Hours: hours are guaranteed after the call off policy has been metSpecial Requirements: • CA license • 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience (PICU experience must be within the last year, and not including orientation time) *Must have experience with at least a 10 bed PICU unit • Willing to float between units (CVPICU & NICU) • BLS • PALS • Experience in: Ventilators, multiple monitors, specifically CVP and EKG. • Prefers at least 1 travel assignment, however, will consider 1st timer if strong experienceHospital Highlights: Named one of the Top 10 Best Children's Hospitals in the Nation by U.
