Application Support Engineer Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 Months Role Overview We are seeking an individual with a background in Linux and Windows Systems Administration. This role involves a general understanding of the skills related to supporting an application, such as basic operating system troubleshooting, certificate management, password rotation, patching, and coordinating builds of servers and software for development teams. The individual will provide execution support for an application manager. Key Responsibilities Provide execution support for an application manager. Perform basic OS troubleshooting on Linux and Windows systems. Manage certificates and password rotations for applications. Coordinate the patching of systems and software. Facilitate the build of servers and software for development teams. Utilize JIRA for tracking and managing tasks. Coordinate work across multiple teams to ensure timely project execution. Required Qualifications Proficiency with the Linux Command Line to support OS and major middleware products. Strong skills in Windows OS administration. Familiarity with middleware products such as IIS, Apache, MongoDB, and MSSQL. Experience with JIRA. Basic project skills to help coordinate work across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Linux scripting. Knowledge of project management principles. Familiarity with storage technologies. Software development experience, for example, with Python.
