Supply Chain Specialist

Overview Of The Position The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the supportability of customer requirements, and inventory turns through supply chain management. Review requirements to determine and perform the necessary course of action, including: sourcing, purchasing, expediting, de-expediting, and cancellation. Research, recommend, and negotiate best practice procurements. Prepare requests for quotes, purchase orders, and purchase order change notices. Ensure purchases are compliant with customer flow downs. Work closely with vendors to develop and maintain strategic relationships. Review necessary data and ensure adequate supportability is maintained. Negotiate pricing for best value and strategic wins. Resolve issues internally and externally through effective communication. Monitor inventory levels and supportability. Perform other duties as assigned. Fluent with Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications. Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred.
