Job Title: Quality Control

Shift: 7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri

 

Job Title: QUALITY TECHNICIAN- V

The key duties for which the employee is accountable are as follows:
̈ Primary responsibilities:
̈ Completion of incoming inspection activities – part receipt, visual & mechanical inspection, documentation of non-conforming material, ERP updates, Non-Conforming Material database (Compliant Pro), disposition of non-conforming material
̈ Completes First Article Inspection activities.
̈ Completes Final Product Verification and Audit Release functions.
̈ Secondary responsibilities:
̈ Participate in compliance third party audits, customer audits, process audits, internal audits.
̈ Completes activities to support the internal calibration program such as collecting and returning equipment to its place, organizing, & calibrating devices as well as maintaining the calibration database.
̈ Support engineering with creation of Engineering Sample Inspection Report
̈ Support review of customer return / RMA (TCT, rubber eyes and TCT Mount) and quotation as needed.
̈ Must maintain exceedingly collaborative and effective interaction with Production and Engineering teams in support of the Quality Management System activities.
̈ Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and supplier personnel to analyze and isolate product quality problems.
̈ Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

The education, experience, skills and training required of the employee for this position are as follows:
̈ AAS degree in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality Inspection.
̈ Self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision.
̈ Familiar with validation and calibration requirements within the medical device manufacturing environment.
̈ Computer competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ERP systems EQMS (Compliant Pro), and Calibration databases.
̈ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
̈ Ability and demonstrated knowledge in the use of various measurement gages (i.e: CMM, Optical comparator, caliper, micrometer, height gage, Multimeter, Oscilloscope etc.)
̈ Demonstrated writing and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
̈ May require common protective or safety equipment.
̈ Must be able to utilize a microscope for extended periods of time.
̈ Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. May be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust and odors.
