Qualifications

Nursing Supervisor Job Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
* Current RN licensure by Florida State Board of Nursing
* 5 years clinical experience in acute care hospitals.
* Bachelor's Degree required, Master's in Nursing or other appropriate discipline preferred
* BLS required (AHA)
* ACLS required (AHA)
* Certification in specialty area preferred
* Demonstrates effectiveness in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication skills
* High tolerance for stressful situations
* Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship skills and strong people skills
* Basic computer skills required
* Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Role and Responsibilities

The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care throughout the hospital for a defined shift. The Supervisor works in conjunction with the Department Directors and Chief Nurse Executive to ensure continuous delivery of quality patient care throughout the building. Has a thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, ACHA, AOA, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
