Position Summary Regina Caeli Academy seeks a part‑time 2nd grade teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for 13 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year at our center in Lemont, IL. Responsibilities Teach all subjects for a self‑contained 2nd grade class. Prepare lesson plans and classroom materials in advance. Teach on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a highly structured learning environment. Participate in mandatory training sessions on August 3‑5, 2026. Qualifications Strong commitment to the Catholic faith; must sign an Oath of Fidelity. Experience with homeschooling, ministry, or teaching in a classical/private setting (preferred but not required). Good communication skills, organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student‑teacher relationship. Clear background check and completion of RCA Safe Child training. Benefits and Other Information Positions are hourly; childcare/nursery provided during class time.
