Night Auditor (Hotel Front Desk / Overnight Guest Services - Evaluation Hire) Location: Fountain Valley, CA Schedule: Full-Time | Overnight Shift Pay: Starting at $22/hour (DOE) Overview We are partnering with a well-established limited-service hotel in Fountain Valley seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Night Auditor to oversee overnight front desk operations. This is an evaluation hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate. This role is ideal for someone who thrives working independently, is highly organized, and can balance both guest service and accounting responsibilities during overnight hours. You are the face of the hotel during the night shift how you show up matters. Key Responsibilities Manage guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours Provide a high level of customer service while handling guest inquiries and concerns Perform nightly audit procedures, including balancing accounts and reconciling daily transactions Verify room rates, postings, and guest accounts for accuracy Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports Handle cash, credit card transactions, and billing discrepancies Maintain security awareness and monitor hotel activity overnight Coordinate with housekeeping and management on any overnight issues Ensure the front desk and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and professional Qualifications Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience Strong attention to detail with solid math and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and stay productive during overnight hours Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus Comfortable handling financial transactions and balancing reports Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistency in a structured environment Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management systems Must be able to work weekends and holidays Flexible schedule required based on business needs Work Environment Limited-service hotel setting in Fountain Valley Quiet overnight environment with a mix of guest service and administrative responsibilities Independent role with support from management and team Equal Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).
