Worker's Compensation Paralegal

Meshbesher and Spence LTD is seeking an experienced workers ‘compensation paralegal with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be able to handle various tasks at one time, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have great time management, professional communication skills and organizational skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and have a desire to assume significant responsibility. Providing litigation support to one attorney Managing client files Drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as directed Preparing and filing pleadings and other legal documents Monitoring case schedules and filing deadlines Preparing discovery requests and responses Assisting in trial preparation, including hearing exhibits, wage loss and average weekly wage schedules Responding to inquiries from and interacting with clients, counsel, and the court Organizing and maintaining case files and documentation, electronically Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed Other duties as assigned. Prior workers’ compensation work experience required. Recent experience in a workers’ compensation setting within the last two years preferred.
